one cup shortening. (margarine)
one cup brown sugar
one cup white sugar
cream these

add two eggs
one teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
one teaspoon salt
one teaspoon soda
three cups oatmeal

bake at 350 10-12 minutes
