Peanut Blossoms
Makes 3 dozen cookies

Sift together:
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream together:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar

Add:
1 unbeaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Bend in dry ingredients. Shape dough into balls. Roll in sugar, place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Remore and place candy kiss on each cookie, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven and bake 2 to 5 minutes longer until golden brown.
